Our ADU price includes the entire building process, from our initial site evaluation, to permitting, to delivery a move-in ready ADU with a certificate of occupancy.

Yes. The unit comes beautifully furnished – including a sofa, coffee table, dining table and chairs and bed (mattress is excluded). Appliances provided, ready to use, including a refrigerator, convection oven/microwave, induction range, full-size, dishwasher, full-size washer & dryer and garbage disposal.

Several things! Our integrated, panelized system includes built-in enterprise-grade wifi access points. Lighting and door locks are all easily managed through the in-home touch control panels or via the Veev, Digital home iOS app.
Yes. Our materials are sourced as locally as possible and we enable the use of alternative energy sources.
Our framing is steel made in California. Our foundations use helical pile technology, requiring significantly less concrete (a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions). Unit components are made in a zero waste facility in Northern California. The Veev ADU also comes equipped with 12 solar panels installed.
No. The ADU is fully built and integrated on your property. It is not delivered as a completed product and Veev manages all aspects of the build, therefore it is not subject to sales tax.
Generally, the answer is yes! In January, the State of California issued new legislation allowing ADU development on most properties. The details can be found here: New legislation memo. The process is easier In some cities than others.
Certainly! Putting an ADU in your backyard will positively impact your property value by increasing the living space. The extra bedroom, bathroom and kitchen are viewed as additions to the primary home.
Your primary residence is not reassessed when you add an ADU. The ADU is treated as a home addition. The property tax is assessed on the marginal value of the ADU.

Yes. New legislation from January 2020 allows building an ADU on most residential properties, regardless of whether the property owner lives on site.

No. Owner occupancy requirements have been put on a 5 year moratorium as outlined in SB-13. You can lease out both the home and the ADU.
Veev’s unique technology will allow us to halve the timeline, based on your backyard we guarantee to shorten the full process from Permits to key delivery.
Cities must provide ADU approval (or denial) within 60 days of receiving the application. This has been halved as a result of new legislation. It was previously 120 days.
